Hey, I’m Adrian.
I am a MAS-licensed representative from one of the largest Independent Financial Advisory Firm in Singapore. I have been working in this industry for about 10 years and I am truly blessed to have met a lot of wonderful people in this journey.
A couple of years ago, I attended a course with a Will-writing company to be their licensed Estate Planner. I had also attended numerous paid workshops to increase my knowledge in this area of expertise.
Armed with the knowledge of helping my clients plan their asset distribution, I happily started off providing this service with a 25-page Will Instructions Form.
We started off discussing about how they wanted to distribute and explore ways to optimise it. The discussion went on smoothly until the part where we had to fill in the Form. Little did we know that the Form literally took us 4 – 8 weeks to finalise it and there was an overloading of information. The process was both time-consuming and counter-productive.
Not happy with it, I decided to streamline the process – by focusing on common scenarios that most people encounter, breaking up the Will Instructions Form into multiple parts to be used at various discussion points and eliminate uncommon situations.
After a series of fine-tuning, I’m pleased to say that my process works approximately 98% of the time – without any fluff, time-consuming back-and-forth discussions or draggy moments.
As for the other 2%, we were able to do adjustments easily as the groundwork has already been laid.
With the new process, my clients and I were able to cut down the time required to do up a Will from start to finish, by about 50%!
